EU confirms and changes some air passenger rights

The EU has made some changes to air passenger rights as well as upheld a few others.

--compensation is basically the same but there is now an actual list of what is entitled to delay compensation and what isn't;

--fares will now be shown to include a carry on bag. Cheaper fares can still be offered for those who don't wish to use a carry on

--paper boarding passes must be issued for free if the passenger has checked in online

--name changes will be free

--a few others in the article

But no defined size, so what does it even mean? With all the problems in the world they address this?

--name changes will be free

let's not get carried away, it says "passengers will no longer be charged additional fees for correcting name spelling errors " actual name changes could have allowed resellers to buy up seats early and hike the price later

--paper boarding passes must be issued for free if the passenger has checked in online

perhaps more usefully there is also passengers shall not be denied boarding on the grounds that they used their own printed version of a digitally issued boarding pass.
