We are flying from Dallas to Luxembourg with a connection in Heathrow. My trip details with AA mentions the new ETA may be required. I read further details and it says “travelers transiting through the UK via Heathrow who will not pass through border control (‘airside’ transit)” does not need an ETA. How do I know if I am airside transit? Will I have to go through border control did my connecting flight? Thanks for the help!!
Are you traveling on one ticket from Dallas to Luxembourg? Then no ETA required.
When you arrive at Heathrow, just follow the signs for connections.
Heathrow Guide for Connections
If you purchased 2 separate tickets, DFW to LHR and another ticket LHR to LUX, you will have to go through UK immigration and need an ETA.
If it's all on one booking, you shouldn't have to go through border control. You can plug in your flights on Heathrow Connections to double check https://www.heathrow.com/connecting-flights
