Error Message on Reservation

For days I've been trying to book the Munich-Venice overnight train for June 19th. I'm reserving 4 beds in the 6 bed compartment. I get everything in including payment and after it says book it, the error message pops up. I've sent an email but haven't heard back yet. Any ideas?

What does the error message say? That would be helpful to know. Second, call you credit card company to see if the charge for the tickets was presented. What web site are you using to book the ticket?

I would check to see if you have left any fields blank, if you have any fields highlighted in red, if the telephone number you put in has any spaces or punctuation (don't - run it all together with no spaces) and most importantly, regardless what your credit card told you when you inquired, call them just before you attempt the transaction and make sure that they know you will be making a large purchase from Germany.

Calling after the fact is almost useless. Call just before you try.

If that doesn't work, clear your cookies or try another computer or a different card. I have found that when making reservation maybe one time in 20 that the computer wherever I am trying to reserve just takes against a particular card and another one (call first) works a dream. It is a pain with points and miles and such but it is sometimes the case.

It is also possible that you got into a "Verified by Visa" loop and you could have a window somewhere that isn't closed or completed....

BTW - it could just be the railway gods looking after you and trying to convince you not to take a night train.... LOL

Are you aware that if you have 4 of the bunks that there may likely be 2 strangers in the other 2 bunks?

Okay, thanks for the advice. I didn't call ahead the first day, so I did understand why it didn't go through the first day, but after I called the bank I waited a day and tried again. It seemed like it was going to work but then I got the same message, so will try a different computer/ card.
Question: is it worth paying a difference of $160. to have are our room. Plus I believe it's a triple and a single room. Anyway to find out if the rooms would be close together?
