Entering a US Mobile phone on the SNCF rail reservation site

My phone number keeps getting rejected as I try to book a ticket on the SNCF rail reservation system.

I enter the 001 for a US number (plus every variation including just 1). It doesn't accept.
I need the number to book the ticket so now I don't know what to do to buy the ticket.

Thank you.

JUST DISCOVERED answer. The customer service rep had me put in a fake french phone number in the same format as the sample. Finally it went through.

Isn't 011 the US long distance code meaning for dialing from the US as opposed to dialing to the US? Have you tried entering 001? 00 is the French international long distance code.

By the way, when having trouble with SNCF, there is an alternative: trainline.com.

Try +1.

That's what you use for a mobile phone. Go here for more info.

are you inserting punctuation in the number? Put in just numbers. 12132221212 instead of 1(213)222-1212.

"By the way, when having trouble with SNCF, there is an alternative: trainline.com."

Rather than trainline.com which charges fees, your better off using trainline.eu

Well, I just did it. Using one of the suggestions from this thread.
To activate your account with a US cell phone number:
+1 followed by your 10 digit cell phone number.
