Andrea - No experience with EireCar, but I have rented through Autoeurope numerous times for at last 15 years. They have a good website to check costs and options. They have a 24/7 toll-free number in Maine with humans who are very helpful on the details and can make sure you have their lowest rate. The cars have been waiting for me when I come to pick them up and I have never had billing problems.

I have almost always rented through Eire Car when going to Ireland (the exception was a package deal where we had Dan Dooley chosen for us). Every time I have been looking for a car, they have had the best rates. Their contact person is extremely helpful and friendly (tollfree number in NY), and I have gotten an automatic with no problem when I wanted one. No billing problems at all, either.
