Has anyone gone through Frankfurt or Munich with EES? Thank you!
We went through in February. The process was very efficient--maybe 10 minutes to register and then another 10 to pass through immigration.
Was that through Frankfurt or Munich? I have 1 hr and 20 mins in Frankfurt so I am a bit nervous if that will be enough time in August. Thank you!
I am following this thread. I fly into Frankfurt with a transfer to Berlin. One ticket with Condor. I have a one hour and twenty minute layover. Condor rep said I will be in a transit area and will not go through the EES process until I get to Berlin. The Frankfurt Airport Rep said I would need to go through the EES process in Frankfurt as it is the first point of entry. I have heard there are up to 2-3 hour lines to get through the EES process. It is suppose to be fully functional at Frankfurt on 4/10/26...... I tend to trust the Frankfurt airport rep as the airline reps don't want to have to rebook or compensate.
We are also flying Condor YVR-FRA and then FRA-BER in May. The EES is supposed to be fully implemented by April 10th. We will know in the next couple of days if there are any problems.
Thank you but just to clarify what I meant, I don't mean flying with Condor. I mean from USA arriving in Frankfurt or arriving in Munich. Are there long delays? Thank you
I posted this last month—Arrived at Munich airport 3/29/26 at 7:30am on Delta.- only our plane in line at the time. Deplaned plane as the first 20 people to get off. Reached machines to take passport, picture and fingerprints with no line- only 8 machines though. Took 3 out of my 4 fingers on first try- yeah!! As I have trouble getting my fingerprints to take for my yearly background check for my job. Able to do in minutes but no questions asked. Long line formed quickly behind me so airport officials telling some people to skip and just go get in line to do manually. Everyone had to stand in regular immigration line and I still had to get my passport stamped. I basically registered but they were not really using it the right way yet. Took 30 minutes in the line to have passport stamped as they only had 2 people and they were very slow!! If I had been further back in the plane it would have taken a while. The line quickly backed up as I was waiting. Figure at least a couple hours for some people.——-
Hope that helps.
