we will be in Scotland 6 days and will leave on the 7th day
take the trian to London, have 3 days to spend in London
I would like to go to Kensington Palace, Tower London,
Buckingham Palace, could someone give me some help on
what train to take from Edinburgh, and what Zone the place I want to see are in.
The places you wish to see in London are all in zone 1.
Your Edinburgh-London train choices are Edinburgh-London Kings Cross on National Express East Coast trains, Edinburgh-London Euston on Virgin trains, and Edinburgh-London Kings Cross on the ScotRail Caledonian Sleeper. You can get timetables for all of these using the Journey Planner at www.nationalrail.co.uk.
Walk up fares are very expensive, but advance purchase fares can be very cheap. For information on Bargain Berths on the Caledonian Sleeper, go here: http://tinyurl.com/g9ehd.
Everything you want is Zone 1 and 2; I would take the Waverly station train from Edinburgh into Kings Cross in London.
