I'm planning on taking the bus from Edinburgh airport to Buchanan bus station in Glasgow. Anyone who has done this, are there any signs directing one to the bus area upon arrival at the airport? Is it within the airport? I hope. Is it possible/advisable to not buy in advance and just buy from bus driver?
This website says it’s at Bus Stop D as you exit the arrivals hall, to your left. (Scroll halfway down the page to see the bus details.)
Hi, carol, you can easily find it (Stop D) using Google Maps. Here are the results of my search just now, although you can certainly do it yourself by just doing a search for "Edinburgh Airport Stop D" and you will get the same result. Just open it up when you're there and it will direct you to the right place. FYI, it's on Jubilee Road right outside the airport.
That web page is wrong. The #900 only does that journey overnight. You want the #AIR which now runs every 20 !minutes in the daytime.
Forget the #902- that takes forever.
Thank you for the info really helpful.
Has anyone bought ticket from driver vs in advance?
I bought my ticket from Glasgow airport to Buchanan st bus station from the driver, and it seems to be standard procedure.
We bought our ticket from the driver as well, as did most of the riders, from what I could see.
I did this last summer. Signage at the Edinburgh airport is very clear - you will have no problem finding your way. Once you get to the bus stop area, there are lots of employees that will help you with any questions you may have. And as said by others, you can pay the driver directly with your credit card.
The stop is literally right outside the terminal. You don't need to look at Google Maps. Just follow the signs and look for Stand D.
Thank you so much for all the information. I will look for and follow signage to bus are and will plan on purchasing a ticket from the bus driver.
