EasyJet or Eurostar/Rail

Husband and I are flying into London and then wanting to get to Amsterdam. We can only get away for 9 full days (not counting 2 travel days) do you recommend that we look into EasyJet flights... or do you think taking the train, with the option to hop off and explore Brussels is the way to go!?

This is our first trip together to the area. We realize that we dont' have THAT much time, not as much as we'd like, but of course would like to see a lot, without running around like lunatics.

Perhaps, EasyJet out to Amsterdam and train back, is that wise? Or does it make sense to train there and fly back to London?

If you are trying to save time. Take a train in my opinion

Consider the time it will take to

  1. Get to the airport
  2. Leave time to get through security
  3. Board
  4. Actually Fly
  5. Taxi/Get Off
  6. Claim Bags
  7. Get from Airport to City Centre

Train will take you direct from point a to point b and in more comfort.

One other consideration is to take an Overnight Ferry.

One way train, one way flight.

Remember, you lose an hour between London and Amsterdam and gain an hour going back. So, you choose.

Thank you very much for your replies!

I DID forget to consider the hour difference, so thank you for reminding me of that!
