We will be arriving (4 of us most likely only carry on luggage) at CDG at 11:10 Sunday morning May 1st and need to catch a train at Gare St. Lazare at 2:45 PM to Bayeux. I have seen this new (sort of new only less than a year old) bus service call Easy Bus. The website says it leaves about every 30 minutes the Paris to CDG portion but nothing about how often from CDG to Paris. Has anyone used this service lately? When you go to book a time it only gives you the top of the hour times (for both directions). We can choose 12:00 or 1:00 but with the ride having to take an hour (at least) and still having to take the metro or RER E to St. Lazare I believe the 1:00 would be cutting it really short. Now I know it is a Sunday but I believe May 1st is also a holiday, is that something I should consider? Any information would be appreciated.
Well, I am going to use it for the first time in April, but looking over your posting, I'm not sure it makes sense for you. Your best bet is to buy your tickets when you're ready to board - but they're often about 8 Euros per person at that point vs. 2 Euros if you buy in advance. The buses run every 30 and 45 minutes, alternating. Then you have to get yourselves to the correct train station. My math skills tell me you're likely to pay 32 Euros for the bus, plus then you need to metro to St. Lazare, all the while you're going to be worried about timing.
I say, book a G7 cab. Flat fee of 50 Euros - an additional cost of only about 10 Euros buys you a lot of peace of mind. Or just grab a cab from the airport stand.
I suggest you check the reviews for the Easybus service on .tripadvisor. They do not instil confidence. For a couple of euro more than what Easybus charges, you could take bus No 350 to Gare de l'Est from CDG, if a cheap transfer to Paris is what interests you. However, with 4 of you and the need to get into Paris by 2:45 (!) for your train, you should consider taking a taxi.
Thanks for the responses on my question, deep down I figured we would be better off getting a taxi or shuttle. We will be using Paris Shuttle for ease of mind. If we did not have to catch a train we would probably have used the bus service to see how it worked maybe next time.
Depending on how much luggage you have with you (and how tired you may be), it may be worth splurging for a taxi. But there is also the Opera Bus (technically, I believe, the "RoissyBus)." It goes from CDG to central Paris (Place de l'Opera), and from there it's just a 10 min metro ride (according to GoogleMaps) to the gare. I did this trip in July (also midday on a Sunday) and it was very smooth. Either way, you're going to be at the mercy of the traffic.

Thinkyou should skip the shuttle and take a taxi.
Shuttle is 13 euros per person, so, four of you are spending 52 euros.
Taxi is 50 euros and direct, leaves when you get in it, shuttles wait till they have more then a few people and make stops.
Thank you everyone for the great information. I have a question do we reserve the taxi in advance (G7 Valerie) or do we go to the front of the airport and just catch a taxi there?
I'm not sure that it matters anymore for leaving the airport. It's my understanding that as of three weeks ago, cabs to and from the airports are flat fee...55Euro Left Bank and 50 Euro for Right Bank. For a ride TO the airport, I still recommend G7 as they're quite reliable.
Carol just go to the taxi rank at airport( there are plenty of signs) ..and ONLY take a taxi from there, not from ANY taxi driver who approaches you in airport. The taxis at the rank are properly licenced and permitted offical taxi drivers, the ones that approach you are not and will rip you off.
Carole, Taxis G7 is a private cab company, +330141276699, http://www.taxisg7.com/taxis/commande-taxis. You can go online, call or use their App to reserve a taxi, they have English speaking operators. Or you can just follow the signs at the airport to the official Taxi stand and catch your ride from there. Here is a link,http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/docs/default-source/passager-fichiers/acces/affiche-taxis_paris-cdg.pdf?sfvrsn=4, on the new set price/flat rate from CDG when using the official taxi.
Just wanted to let everyone know we ended up taking a taxi into Paris. It was the first adventure of our trip. My son rode in the front seat with the driver and was "let's just say praying" that we made it to Gare St. Lazare. It ended up being fine because we just told them 50 Euros from the start and there was no hassle. It was very easy to find the taxi stand and it took all of 2 minutes to get one. This is so much easier than trying to get to the RER and other options.
