Has anyone ever used this service? My family and I (five adults) have found the price of this service to be about the same as if we took taxis/trains/buses to get to our hotel in Pisa from the Rome airport. Wondering if anyone has done this and how it worked out?
Interesting. You are looking at a full train fare of about 325Euro. Since you are arriving at FCO and then traveling to Pisa, I would not recommend the new super economy fares of 200Euro as you would need to lock in the specific departure on your train run. If your plane is late and you miss your train out of Rome Termini, your super economy tickets would be toast. I'm curious to see how much this taxi service would charge. With 5 people plus luggage, you won't be in a typical taxi. You'll need to be in a slightly larger vehicle. Interestingly, Via Michelin shows the drive to be 329 kilometers and a 4.0-4.5hr drive. With tolls and fuel at close to 50Euro each way, how much will the driver ask for a fare? The train journey takes just under 3.0hrs.
