I am considering booking my rental car with easy jet when I purchase my ticket.....any concerns...?
Where are you picking up the car?
I don't know anything about booking a car this way, but my first question would be, does booking through Easyjet offer any advantage (price or otherwise) over booking it yourself separately.
What help do they offer if something goes wrong with your booking. I use autoeurope and they have a 24 hour helpline. I have only called it once, but it got me my car with out me parting with extra money. The rental agent was not only not helpful, he was somewhat deceptive. When I called autoeurope and explained the situation, they said they had this happen a lot. He talked to the man, told me what to do, and we got our car. The problem had to do with insurances. My problem with many "booking" sources is they are no help when something goes wrong. (I have experienced this personally.)
And where will you be driving?

Easyjet work with Europcar so it would appear that Easyjet have a deal with Europcar that provides them with better rates than if you were to go with Europcar directly.
British Airways do the same with Avis and I've had some amazing deals with booking with them including a car that cost me 7 pence a day. This forthcoming trip we're renting a Mercedes Vito for £100 which if booked directly with Avis would be more in line with 10x that much during the peak school holiday season.
Ryanair offer similar deals although they use a wider range of rental agencies. They also are able to offer good discounts.
As to the question of who do you contact if something goes wrong? The agency you rented the car from. Typically my rentals have ended up being either with Hertz or Avis, neither of which are known for bad customer service.
Their car rental is usually at good rates.
The only disadvantage if using a quiet airport is that many onboard the flight will have also booked a car with EasyJet and therefore there maybe a queue at the car hire desk window for that operator. It’s less of an issue at larger airports, when there will be more staff at the car hire desk.
Never rented cars in conjunction with an airline ticket but have booked hotels. It works very well and discount is decent. I would price it both ways. See what a car rental from that airport would be and see what the combined rental is.
JC and Jennifer: thanks for clarifying that.
I was specifically thinking of the way that when you book a hotel, they will often try to sell you an airport transfer - sometimes at a fair price, but often at one and a half or two times the price of a taxi from the airport! Glad to hear that this is the opposite, and can be a good deal.
