LNER, ScotRail, TransPennine Express, GWR and Northern Railway are providing free rail travel on similar routes to all Eastern Airways customers (and staff) on presentation of their boarding pass or flight confirmation - initially for today and tomorrow (28 and 29 October)- but may be extended in due course.
GWR come into it as they ran flights to Newquay.
This also means that the only flights to Wick (for John O'Groats) [from Aberdeen] are suspended- that was a Public Service Obligation route so may restart in time if a new operator can be found.
Air Charter Scotland will restart Wick to Aberdeen flights on 12 January 2026, initially using an 18 seat Jetstream 32 aircraft wet leased from AIS Airlines of the Netherlands.
Flights will run daily except Saturdays.
Bookings will open on 6 January 2026 with fares from £74.99 each way.
