I am having trouble booking the 8:15am train from Bayeux to Carentan on May 14, 2011. "Rail Europe" site allows me to get to the point of booking and then stops. I do have an e-mail in to Rail Europe, but wondered if anyone else has had this problem.

There is no need to book in advance. You'll be traveling on a regional train with open seating. Buy your ticket at the station. The fare is €8.10.

Thank you for the information. Does not sound like there is a chance this early train will be sold out, right?

You're welcome! Technically speaking, regional trains cannot sell out. If no seats are left, you are allowed to stand. However, it's highly unlikely that you will have to do that.
