Ok, here goes.... I have an 8am flight from Bud to Venice. Given the security fiasco that happend in July, the Bud airport website is suggesting arriving up to 3 hours before departure for multiple security checks. It appears I need to leave my hotel, which is close to Keleti Station, around 5am. Can someone suggest a way to get from Keleti Station to Bud at 5am? Is there a direct Airport train, shuttle or do I just need to grip and take a cab? Help???? Rob

Hi Rob, I'D recommend taking a "City Taxi." When you see one on the street ask the driver for a "fixed price airport card". It takes the guess out of everything. Their fixed price is about 25% less than the various hotel taxies that you see in the city. It's about a thirty minute drive to the airport. We left Bud around noon on the 30th of July for LHR. Arrived at the airport at ten - two hours early and had too much time to waste. Security was uneventful. I suspect that at six in the morning you'll have little to worry about. Good luck.
