Dusseldorf Airport to Train Station?

There appears to be plenty of train transportation from Düsseldorf to Köln. I hope that is what you want. From Weeze (RyanAir) to Köln, transportation is not very good.

You can book a train from the Dusseldorf airport to Paris (change in Cologne) for E48 that is faster and cheaper than the TGV. You can book in advance here:

I couldn't find anything faster than about 5hours on the DB Bahn web site, and none of the times I found ever showed a price, they all say "Total Fare cannot be calculated".

When I said "TGV", I didn't specifically mean TGV but just the high-speed trains. I think actually the one between Dusseldorf/Cologne and Paris is the Thalys and goes through Brussels.

On the DB_Bahn site the trips that weren't Thalys all took 9-10 hours to Paris.

Am I missing something?

Matt, the fastest routes shown on the Bahn website are a regional train into Köln and then Thalys via Brussels to Paris. You might also find a route with ICE from Köln to Brussels and Thalys from Brussels to Paris.

If you just put in Köln (Koeln or Cologne) to Paris you can see the fare and book that leg. The reason the fare is not calculated on the website is that the trip includes a regional train that is run by a Verkehrsverbund (local transit district). You could book the trip from Köln to Paris separately and then buy the regional ticket to Köln at the airport.

The "title" on the Webpage does say "DB BAHN - TravelService - Query page", but DB and BAHN are just two ways of indicating Deutsche Bahn or German Rail, bahn.de.

According to the Verkehrverbund Rhein-Sieg (VRS) website, the trip from the Düsseldorf Flughafen to the Hbf in Köln by regional train takes 38-39 minutes and costs €9,60.
