I am now thinking of flying into Dublin first to see my family for a few days before going to Paris. Can someone tell me the best way there ( i assume by plane)? If plane i know there are the discount inter-europe airlines, i forget them can someone please provide a list.

Quick check Aer Lingus has a one way fare from Dublin to Paris(cdg) of $112. Now Ryan Air fare would be much cheaper about 30 euro, but it flies to Paris (Beauvais). Which as I understand is located about 80 km (50 miles) north of Paris.
Your budget airline choices are Dublin-Paris CDG on Aer Lingus and Dublin-Paris Beauvais on Ryanair. Ryanair offers very cheap fares, but its fees can add up and Beauvais is a long shuttle bus ride from Paris.
