I am travelling to Ireland with a friend next month. We are arriving at Dublin International at 8:30 AM and need to get to Belfast. (Once there we will be renting a car.) What is the best way to get to Belfast, train or bus? Both methods seem to take the same amount of time but to catch the train, we can we catch a train from the airport?

To get the train to Belfast, you need to get into Dublin for Connolly Station to pick up the train. I would just recommend taking the bus, as you can pick up Bus Eireann/Ulsterbus right from the airport.

.... and it's a much nicer trip on the train!
