What's up with getting to your hotel from the airport in Dublin? We want to stay in a really nice-looking B & B outside of Dublin on our last night in Ireland. The proprietor of the B & B tells me that the taxi will cost $30 each way. For a six mile trip. That's $60 just getting to the place and back to the airport the next morning. Aren't there more reasonable choices? The B & B is near Swords and does not offer shuttle service. Is there a negative to renting a car at the airport just for overnight? What about buses? Hope someone can give us some advice.

I'm guessing a one day car rental will be more than $60. If you don't want to take the taxi, you could either take the public bus or stay nearer to the airport.

Sherry, A Taxi is probably the easiest and simplest solution, although of course not the cheapest. That's the method I normally use. Good luck!
