Dublin, Prague, Dubrovnik help, please!

My husband and I would like to head here this summer. We're stuck going in high season (end of July) and are aiming for a 10 day trip. I keep reading and reading but need clarity on this... Would it be best to go open-jaw and through whom? Do we just get the cheapest one-way flight over and pick up connecting ones? Or do we have to drop Dublin and try to fly into Frankfurt or Prague, and just take the train to Croatia? So far the best flights we've found are in the $2400 range. Would very much appreciate any help you could provide! Thank you!

Hi Kate,
Your destinations are very spread out. You could easily spend 10 days in just Ireland. It's doable to spend something like 5 days in Prague and 5 days in Dubrovnik with some possible day trips from each. If you do that, you could fly open-jaw and into Prague and home from Dubrovnik or Split. You'll probably want to look at a budget airline to get you from Prague to Dubrovnik--it's quite a distance. Check out www.whichbudget.com to see what's available between the two cities.

Hi Sharon,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I know it is spread out and we're prepared to give up Ireland if we must. We have strongly considered staying Eastern. Do you know which airline would be best to get us to Prague? I am stuck wondering if I should fly us into Frankfurt and connect from there. Thanks for the tips. I'll continue to look into them.

Hi Kate,
I'd start with www.kayak.com and use the "Multi-city" option to check for open-jaw flights into Prague and home from Dubrovnik or Split. I'm not sure which airport is closest for you to fly from in Canada. You can try several different combinations including Frankfurt. If you decide to fly to Frankfurt you can check www.whichbudget.com to find the best budget airline option between Frankfurt and Prague. Hope that helps!
