Dublin airport US customs prescreening question.

Greetings, My flight from Dublin to Heathrow to Philly leaves from terminal 1 in the Dublin airport. I see via the Dublin airport site there is US Customs prescreening in terminal 2. Does this mean I will not go through prescreening since my flight leaves from terminal 1 or will I be directed to go first to terminal 2 for prescreening and then will proceed to terminal 1? I am trying to plan my arrival time at the Dublin airport and am concerned if I have to start at terminal 2 for prescreening. Thanks
Dave, USA

I believe that US Customs and Immigration in Dublin is only if the flight is going direct from Dublin to the USA. If you are going through London first, then that would not apply and you would go through US Customs and Immigration on your first arrival point in the US.
What airline are you using that goes Dublin to London to USA?

Edit - If you are using American Airlines, you will change planes at Heathrow and probably go through security and passport check again. C&I in Philly.

pre screening doesn't apply as you are flying to LHR - you stay in Terminal 1

thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated. Yes I am flying British Airway, Dublin to Heathrow to Philly so there will be no preclearance, it does help with my planning. Thanks!! dj
