Dublin Airport: How much time to allow between int'l arrival & domestic dep

I am looking to book a ticket between Dublin and Edinburgh. We arrive at 7:25 AM into Dublin and am considering a 9:15 AM Edinburgh flight but have not travelled through Dublin's airport before. Does this seem enough time between flights?
Thanks. Laura

I assume your arrival in Dublin is on a separate itinerary than any flight onward. Typically, you would be just under the recomended (2 hours)arrival time for flights, especially since you would arrive, go through immigration control, collect bags you might have checked, then proceed to the departures terminal to check in, then go through security and onto your gate. If you are doing Ryanair, keep in mind that they have strict check-in time limits that you may infringe on. Of course, that all relies on you landing on time, or you lose your ticket. In the end, it may have just been better to book through to Edinburgh...or just plan a few days in Dublin.

If the tickets aren't connected, I would be uncomfortable with that layover time - especially if you have a non-EU passport. We have flown to/through the Dublin airport three times and twice we had to wait around 45 minutes in the immigration line to "enter" the country before proceeding to our gate to fly out.

And Dublin to Edinburgh is not a domestic flight.

Dublin is a very small airport. There aren't many things to do. They have a tiny "shopping mall" between concourses A and B but that's about it.

Laura, if they are separate itineraries, we had to go through the same thought process as you. We didn't do open jaw because it was cheaper to fly back to our original city which just happens to also be Dublin. And we will also be flying back from Edinburgh. There is such a limited number of flights in the morning from Edinburgh to Dublin, and we couldn't find a flight that came in more than 2 hours before our flight back to the US at 9am. We finally gave up trying to work it out and will fly back in to Dublin the day prior. I got a stomachache just thinking about trying to go out of customs and then checking BACK in for the international flight. I don't want that kind of stress. Not a great way to end our trip! We were going to do Dublin the first few days of our trip, so I shifted our itinerary by one day, and we'll finish touring Dublin on that full day before we leave. So in the end, it all worked out for us... Peace of mind is the most important!
