My husband is reasonably comfortable driving in England and has done so many times. We typically get a car at Heathrow and leave from there. In September, we will have relatives from Sweden with us, and they will be leaving before we do. We will keep the rental car for a few more days. We need to make sure they get to Heathrow for their flight. They will be leaving from Terminal 3. Has anyone done this before? They need to be there at 2:00. Will it be a nightmare doing this? I've also thought about staying the night before in Windsor and having them take the bus to the airport. They've never been to England before, so I want it to be easy for them. Thanks!

Sharon, weekday or weekend? It makes a difference. If you can drive a car from and to the rental areas at Heathrow you can drive to the drop off area a short distance further. I bet you can do it.

A taxi ride from Windsor to Heathrow is only a 15 minute ride.

Not really sure what you're asking, but it sounds like you want to take your relatives to the airport. 1000s of cars drop off and pick up people at Heathrow every day so it's pretty well signed. It isn't a nightmare, but you have to be on your toes just like at any major airport. If you miss a turn, you can go around and try again.
