My friend and I are renting a car in Nice and driving to Provence. We were going to drop the car off and then take the train to Chamonix, but it takes so long. So we were thinking of keeping the car to drive to Chamonix. We would be driving on September 23 and wanted to know the road conditions and weather conditions. If any one has made this drive and could fill us in on this information it would be greatly appreciated.

It's impossible to predict weather or road conditions over two months in advance, but this calendar shows the historical average temperature in Chamomix as a predictor of what it could be in September 2013.
