We plan to visit Versailles on Friday, Oct. 11. We'll be driving up from Amboise, and want to spend the late morning and afternoon at Versailles. We have a 2 PM flight on Sat. from CDG, so my question is how much time should we allow on Sat. morning for driving from a hotel near Versailles to the airport? Or should we leave Versailles early and get a hotel close to the A86 highway on the way to the airport, maybe near St-Denis? I assume traffic is bad on a Friday evening (and I don't want to drive at night), so any recommendations or insights would be appreciated. Our goal is to maximize time in Versailles.
