Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone knew approximately how far the trip from Trieste, Italy to Rijeka, Croatia is by car in terms of distance and time. We were considering taking a taxi from Trieste to get to Rijeka. Does anyone know how much a trip such as this might cost? Any input would be appreciated. Many thanks!

Hi, We did this about 14 years ago and if my memory serves this drive took about two hours. I can't remember how far it was.

You can get detailed maps and driving directions at:
www.viamichelin.com It works just like Mapquest.
They showed it to be 71km with driving time of 1:15.

You will pass from Italy into Slovenia and then Croatia. Not sure whether 3 countries would create an issue for a taxi driver, as Croatia is not yet in the EU.
