We are going to be in Toulouse, France and Milan, Italy on business. We are thinking about renting a car and driving from Toulouse to Milan. How are the roads? Can somebody share their experience driving this route? Should we drive or fly? Thanks in advance!
It'll take maybe twelve hours with stops, but it's freeway the whole way. The tolls are probably well over a hundred bucks. You'll pay a heck of a fee for dropping the car in Italy rather than taking it back France. Neglecting the fee above (which is hard to do), if I had a couple or three days I'd drive since there's a lot to see (enough for a month or more), otherwise just fly.
Thanks Ed, Hertz drop off fee is 182 euro
