Does anyone know how far it is between these 2 places and how long it takes to drive? I DESPERATELY want to see Plitvice and need to plan ahead!! Please respond.

You can map the drive on viamichelin.com. It will give you suggested routes, travel time, tolls, etc.

We did Plitvice to Opatija last July--took us approximately 3 hours through Karlovace (sp?), some construction, tolls were $8. There is a scenic route along the Adriatic but I think that takes much longer.
