Looking for your help - we are driving from Milan to Munich via Switzerland.

Before doing this, check out the VERY large drop off charges when dropping in a different country. Seriously consider using trains for part, if not all of your travel.

in addition to the extremely high drop charge you will also need to buy a CHF 40 (approximately 40€ ) Swiss toll road Vignette for the windscreen and you won't be able to drive into central Munich without a German Umweltplakette (environmental permit) which your car is very unlikely to have.
