Does 'Reservation Included' mean a seat is reserved?

I have bought rail tickets with Rail Europe for travel in France and will print out my E ticket when I get there. On some of these tickets it says 'Reservation included' and others 'Reservation not included'. Does that mean I dont need to seek a seat 'reservation' in France? Just wanting a bit of reassurance.

Some trains in France, like the TGV, require a seat reservation, which comes with the ticket. They would say, "Reservation included". On other trains (ICs ?) a seat reservation is available, but not required. If you ordered one, the ticket might say "Reservation included". If you did not order a seat reservation, it would say "Reservation not included". On a third type of train, regional, reservations are not required or possible. These tickets would always say "Reservation not included".
