Do we need additional Pass for Gimmelwald and beyond for tram/rail/

WE are an adult and youth traveling for 4 days 3 nights in Gimmelwald area during our 3 weeks in Europe. WE have a Global Pass. There are many ways to see that whole area most of which appear to involve some kind of lift/tram/gondola/cog/bus or hike! We are not opposed to walking/hiking but to get the most for our time would it be prudent to buy a supplemental pass on top of our Global Pass for this leg of our journey??? Swiss Pass 2-1 is only $238-(plus $36 overnight shipping now) would we get that back for the 4 days of scouting out the area?? What of the Berner Oberlander Card or Swiss Card or Jungfrau Centenary Card for these days? We just want to experience everything we can within reason in our short time in this area! Global pass gets us slight discounts on SOME of the lifts but not any on others...any help?? Not looking to do museums or anything else in Switzerland...maybe a boat ride if it seems like the thing to do given weather or the need to get lower on the mountain...
We leave in 4 days and I just got a headache thinking of this last detail that might save some serious money!! Thanks all! I have tried all the rail helps and mesage boards here not finding my situation EXACTLY...thanks again!!!!

It is my understanding that the Jungfraubahn and the Schilthornbahn are not friendly to the Eurail pass. These are private railways within the Swiss train system. For your journey from Interlaken Ost to Gimmelwald, you will be on the Jungfraubahn train to Lauterbrunnen. Your Eurail pass only gets you a 25% discount. Then, you will need to take the bust to Stechelberg to catch the gondola to Gimmelwald. I don't think the bus will take your pass. Finally, you will only get a 25% discount on the gondola to Gimmelwald. Same all over the valley and up to the two mountain tops.

Thanks, Larry. Sounds like this will have to be a recon trip and if we get to go back we will know how best to handle the transport system and sightseeing options in the Alps and which passes to get or not. How much damage can we do in just 2 days??!!(plus 2 1/2 days travel in and out of Gimmel.)
Thanks again, Larry, I really apprectiate your response as the options presented me were overwhelming beyond the Global Pass we already had.
