Do RENFE prices online include seat reservation fees?

I'll be traveling by train in Spain in May. I have a set of point to point trips I know I'll take on certain days, so I know how to compare point to point prices vs Spain pass prices. I know how to buy point to point tickets on the RENFE website. I'm virtually certain the point to point option will be cheaper. My question now is: If I buy a Spain pass I know I still have to pay extra for seat reservations. But if I buy point to point seats on the RENFE website, do the prices I see online INCLUDE seat reservation fees? Or do I still have to pay extra for seat resv over and above what I pay for the price shown online?

Yes, the ticket price on Renfe includes the reservation. You are generally offered seat selection as part of the purchase, at least for AVE trains. Or a seat will be selected for you. And do you know how to find the Web fares on Renfe, such as 47 euros for Barcelona to Madrid? These are for reserved seats as well.

Thank you Lola. Yes, I do know how to find the prices online. I'm almost certain point to point will be the right way to do my trip! I appreciate your help!

You are welcome. I compared costs for our Spain trip last May. With 5 travel days, train fro Barcelona to amadrdi to Toledo to Sevilla to Granada to Cordoba and back to Madrid, we were way ahead with the Web fares. We would have been ahead of pass costs with the senior discounts as well, but the Web fares are even better than the senior discounts.
