Asking for a friend, she’s flying Denver to Munich on United and then onwards to Milan on Lufthansa. She booked with airlines miles and it’s on one ticket. Will she have to pick up her bag in Munich and recheck it for the flight to Milan? (Only 1 1/2 hrs connection time). Thanks for any info!
it will be checked through all the way from Denver to Milan. All you do in Munich is make your way to the second flight. In Milan, collect your luggage.
We were confused in Munich looking for our flight to Milan. It was listed as Mailand.
Thanks Ramblin on, appreciate it!

Pardon me, but I believe in Munich the OP will still have to pass through Passport Control before making their way to their connecting flight.
Your friend enters Schengen in Munich so she will go through passport control there.
But her bag should be checked through to Milan.
Yes, passport control is understood. She was worried about having to recheck the bag. I'm never quite sure when that happens. Obviously if you are traveling under separate tickets, but otherwise, it seems to vary. Thank you everyone!
In a case like this, I double check the tag initially to be certain that the agent tags the “final destination” (Milan) before it leaves the conveyor belt. ;)
