We went to Switzerland from Italy. Since our pass picked up our train tickets after we crossed the border, they needed to be validated for that day. Our TA suggested we have them validated in the Italy train station (we were in MIlan) because the stops in Switzerland were very short. In Milan, we found the Trenitalia office which was a glass structure all the way to the left with your back to the tracks. This worked very well.
