According to the French Press Agency AFP DB German rail have formally requested the rights to pass the Chunnel from Eurotunnel in order to being able to offer direct connections from London to Cologne(4 hrs) and to Frankfurt (under 5 hrs). Obviously EuroTunnel is in desperate needs to increase their revenues and they can only do that by having more and more companies pay for using the tunnel to the British island. Let's see what happens and keep our fingers crossed. The route would be Frankfurt-Cologne-Brussels-London...
