Delta's new look (coming soon)

I just got an email from Delta showing their new look on aircraft that will debut later this year. They are starting with the Boeing 757 and a new wide body Airbus A350 will debut in early 2025, followed by ongoing changes to additional aircraft. I will say that it does look very nice—much more sophisticated than before. It just might be the push I need to spring for Delta One. :-)

Here is the page from their website for those who are interested that shows images: https://news.delta.com/delta-unveils-new-cabin-interior-across-its-fleet

Still waiting for free wi-fi to make it to any of the aircraft I have flown in the two or three years since they announced it.

Getting to be something of a joke between my wife and I, the flight attendant coming on and saying "Enjoy free wifi in flight, being rolled out to aircraft, but not this one yet."

Yes, their upgrade looks nice, the memory foam in the seats has to be better than whatever (wooden boards? Gravel?) that they use in seats now.

Paul, those uncomfortable seats are filled with the contents of “lost luggage”! ; )

I missed this video - so thank you! Very interesting. I mostly fly Delta and like them a lot. I have had a LOT of travel changes/cancellations this year and I have asked for some special assistance with trying to use credits and the Delta staff has been incredibly helpful and compassionate when they hear about the circumstances.

One note on the wi-fi - we have been getting it on most planes so it’s out there.

I have to say that I am not impressed. Most of what they show in the video seems to pertain to Business/Premium Class. I would forego all of these upgrades for more leg room in coach since the price of Business or Premium Class is beyond my pocketbook. Do I really care about the stich they choose.....No!

Valerie, I agree. I don't think I've ever flown a flight without the free wifi since they started offering it. And I always fly Delta if I can.

Lisa, I only found a couple of options that were geared towards Premier and Delta One. Most of what I saw involved the whole plane, such as bathrooms, lighting, seats, flooring and the overall design. I like the design and I think appearance can definitely enhance the flying experience, so I'm all for it.

And Jean, I know you were joking, but just had to say that Delta ranks very low among airlines for lost luggage. In 2023, the Dept. of Transportation found that American Airlines lost the most luggage. Delta was down near the bottom of the list (number 12 out of 15) so scored much better. Honestly, I know folks have had issues here with lost luggage, but I've been flying Delta for decades and have never lost a bag. The only bag I lost was on Frontier quite a few years ago. And I got it back the next day. :-)

I hope it helps with their service. We’ve had quite a few problems with Delta lately with late and cancelled flights.
And i really have to improve their food. It is awful. I would rather have a cold sandwich than their hot food. The last two flights we took with them I passed on the offerings. I just bring a snack with me.

Mr. E.,
The "seats" in your pic look more comfortable than the seats I had on my American Airlines flights this month!

When the woman said "They fly for enjoyment, not just to get from point A to B" LOL, yeah, ok.

Oh, Mr. E! How funny! Can you even imagine an overseas trip in those seats!
