Delta One Suites vs Air France Business Class

I am looking to book some flights to Israel for next year and am curious the difference between the Delta One Suites and Air France Business Class. Both have seats that lay down flat and each passenger has their own pod. Anyone have experience with either or both of them?

this is a matter for sites like Flyertalk and Points Guy, and also for travel vloggers like Paul Lucas and Jeb Brooks. Once you start with those vlogs, the almighty Youtube algorithm will take you way, way down the rabbit hole into the whole world of folks who fly business & first and post about it for a living.

I've flown both airlines in business. The Delta One Suites are the best Delta offers because you can close a little door. Noise from the galley can still come through. (My flight in the suites was noisy because during the flight the crew got word that France was going into lockdown and our flight would be the last for many months. Despite facing such uncertainty, they continued excellent service, a real great team.)

If it's only Delta One, not the suites, you aren't in a completely enclosed space.

All my recent Air France transatlantic business flights have been in a Boeing 777, not the A350. These are angled seats, angled towards the window, or angled toward each other, if in the middle. These seats are almost enclosed, but a small space is left open, so you don't have a total enclosure . The 777 is older

To really be able to compare, we need to know if the Air France plane is the 777 or the A350.

Food, drinks, amenities are similar. I liked the Delta Suites the best, but have flown them only that one
time because they are twice as expensive on my route. so I settle for the old AF Boeing 777.

You really have to look at specific plane models which seat guru can help you with. And yes, YouTube videos can help. There's also other factors like itinerary and price. What are the connecting flights and airports if any? What seats are available and what are they next to.

It would be delta one vs AF airbus 350 business class. The cost in delta skymiles is much more for delta one than AF business class. That’s why I’m trying to figure out the difference

Then it's the same plane. Videos will show you, that the AF seats angle away from the aisle, the partition encircling the pod doesn't close entirely, leaving room to enter and exit. Service, efficiency, food, priority check-in, passport, luggage, lounge access, toilet cleanliness will be the same. They both hang up your coat. The brand of goodies in the goody bag differs, AF being Clarins. Oh, AF offers a glass of champagne before take off. I don't remember Delta offering the champagne.

It's due to the amount of miles required for Delta that my flights are now in AF or Virgin Atlantic, both Sky Team members that charge many fewer miles or $.

delta flies the airbus A330 and AF the airbus A350. what about the food selections on either airline. If I make my reservation through Delta, I presume I could use the skyclub.

In either case you can use the Skyclub and AF lounges. In general I believe if you are ticketed Delta One, First Class, BC, etc you can use the lounges for all sky team members.

We flew BC with Delta (domestic), KLM and AF (both transatlantic and within Europe).last year. Of the three, KLMs in-flight food and lounge at Schiphol were the best of the three. Even their short Euro flight had a decent meal. Only got snacks on Delta. Did visit lounges in Atlanta and LA. Food was soso. AF main meal leaving Paris was excellent but the smaller one prior to landing was odd.
