Kind of you to post this! I'd be interested to know if anyone found deals. I took a look and didn't see anything out of Minneapolis that was particularly good. I never know if I miss out because there wasn't anything out of airport to begin with or if they sell before I check
Lots of 50,000 mile economy seats out of my local airport, Greenville-Spartanburg SC, to European cities with non-stop service from Atlanta (Rome, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt). I haven't seen many of those in a long time.
Well, I didn't find deals with miles, but I got some pretty good deals on Delta flights today, and also a credit for a flight that dropped by $250. If anyone has trips they are considering, they may want to check flight prices today. Thanks for the post, Phred
How are you getting a flight credit? Are you cancelling and rebooking? Changing your booking to different times?
God bless Delta, are they just trying to generate some positive publicity to counteract the whole unfortunate name thing? 😃
Celeste, the ticket i purchased for Poland is changeable. The price dropped since a couple weeks ago when I purchased it. I actually thought the fare I got to begin with was good so I didn't check back more than once. I called Delta about an issue with another trip. They noted that the Poland fare was $250 less and I received a ecredit that they handled. Had I found the change myself, I could have changed the ticket online for the savings. It's the same date, time and type of ticket (Economy plus/main cabin) as the original ticket.
There have been a couple other posts recently about drops in fares and getting airline credit.
Re. the unfortunate name of the COVID variant. It's annoying that when I want to find a Delta airlines email and my search yields SO MUCH stuff about the Delta variant.
I see. My tickets are changeable in that it's COVID times and they're all changeable, but I was of the understanding that you had to actually change your time or destination to get credit for a price drop.
