In May, Delta will stop flying from LAX to LHR.
It should have no effect on other services on that route.

And they pick up a flight from Atlanta to Heathrow.
FYI flying LAX to LHR is easy peasy. I do the overnight flight each year.
Virgin American, my preferred airline to London.
Food is good, Premium Economy seat. Arrive LHR at noonish.
Get through immigration and am in my preferred accommodation usually within the hour. Then a walk around the neighborhood to a market for bottled water and Walkers Shortbread.
Back to room to unpack and freshen up.
Then a late lunch or early pub dinner.
Another bit of walking admiring city lights then back to accommodation to read, review itinerary, enjoy a decaf Earl Grey and shortbread leading to a good nights rest!
There will still be Delta-marketed flights available LAX-LHR, but they'll be flown by Virgin Atlantic.
It's a competitive route, and not the first time Delta has decided to just let their partner take care of things.
Good to know that can still be through Delta.
Sounds like a perfect day, Claudia. Somehow the Earl Grey and shortbread taste better there.
