Has anyone used Delta’s Digital ID system to check in in Detroit (or I think Dallas has it?)
Flying out of Detroit Delta dominates so I get stuck with them. So I figure I may as well try thier new system but I wanted to see what others think about it.
Detroit has used facial ID for some time, this is really just a "next step". From what I see, you have to have your information submitted, plus be part of TSA precheck, and if so, you just show up present yourself, no other ID needed. I imagine they will at least verify you have your physical passport in hand if traveling international, but otherwise, good to go.
Let me clarify. What i am asking about is the actually process of going through it at the airport. Is it a separate line? Or, Do you do something different going through the pre check line? I will be traveling at Christmas time so i expect the airport to be a madhouse so i am hoping to understand how this works ahead of time vs trying yo figure it out in the crowd,
I have not used Delta sense they enabled this.

There is nothing separate. When you go to bag drop, security and boarding you can have them use facial recognition rather than look at your id.
Actually, in Atlanta, there is something separate. There’s a separate security line you go through for the digital ID.
