Due to fly on the 3rd August.
My seat assignment has dissappeared a few weeks ago.
Delta inform me its still scheduled despite it not coming up to purchase or on the flight search.
Its a connection from MCO.
Currently I've been told i can't change it as its been ticketed.
Does anyone else have info on this route.

We booked this Delta flight from Boston to Manchester for a 9/1/20 departure. In mid-April I noticed that the flight was no longer available for purchase, and then our seat assignment disappeared. By checking my reservation I found out that the flight was cancelled (never received an email from Delta). I called Delta and got a refund. Our return flight on 9/23/20 from Heathrow to Boston is still operating, but a refund for the whole trip was processed.
I would guess the problem is the equipment flying that route. The demand will dictate the size of plane used so a seat assignment cannot be given until they have decided on the aircraft being used. You may have to wait awhile for everything to settle down, including, if that flight really does go.
There is zero chance that flight will be operated. It was new this year -- part of Delta's preemptive strike on Jet Blue's efforts to fly to the UK from Boston in 2021.
Delta uploaded the changes to its pre-COVID-19 July schedule two days ago on one of its periodic "Schedule Change Saturdays." The Boston to Manchester flights for July were officially canceled then.
Your August flight will be canceled in the next 4-6 weeks, when the August changes are uploaded, which will let you get a refund.
