Delta airlines ecredit.

I know this is a longshot, but I thought perhaps one of you have experienced my situation.
We’ve had to cancel our Rick Steves tour due to health reasons.
We’re going to file a travel insurance claim and the insurance company requires us to decline an E credit with your airline.
This makes sense however, I can’t figure out how to do so.
On Delta once you click the cancellation button and immediately gave me an E credit.
So does anyone know how to decline and Ecredit?? Thanks.

I doubt that you can. Of course, you can always try calling Delta customer service and asking them. But as you said, it’s an automatic process. I would probably try calling your insurance company and asking them what to do.

I believe the "decline an E credit" phrase means that you agree to not consume the E credit. I would bother Delta with this. I would donate the E credit to an opera or symphony, they would love to have it.

I would be patient with Delta. I had to cancel a few flights the past year due to health reasons, and several of them ended up refunding to my credit card automatically, even though the automated system said it would give me an e-credit. I always book the cheapest main cabin fare, so I don't think it had anything to do with a special fare class. If, in a week or so you don't get a refund to your credit card, then you might call Delta.
Edited to add: Delta has been amazing with customer service since the pandemic. Love them.
