Delta Airlines - $751 RT Non-stop Atlanta to Rome Italy

I just booked a round trip non stop to Rome, Italy from Atlanta GA for the end of March 2017 - April 4, 2017. For $751!!

I have also signed up for the 7 Days in Rome tour with RS 3/26 - 4/01/2017. I will spend 3 days after the tour to go to Naples/Pompeii/Herculaneum. I haven't mapped that itinerary yet but will when I can. I am going on the Best of Italy tour in 17 days this coming October. I know in my heart that I will feel compelled to come back to Rome so I just pounced on the $751 airfare when I saw it on the Delta website and then I booked the trip with RS.

Someone just the other day posted that United Air has a sale going on which prompted me to check on Delta's website.

Happy day!!

Yes, it's amazing what a hint of terrorism and a dose of Brexit will do for airfare!

WOW!! I just checked the airfare to Greece (my next trip in 2017). I cannot believe what an awesome deal (Delta said 798.00) I don't get paid until Friday-wish that sale was a few more days! I took that Best of Rome trip in February-absolutely loved it. Have an wonderful time on your Best of Italy tour in October! Margaret

A friend of mine booked the same flight to Rome (we are taking the 7 Days in Rome tour) a couple hours after I booked my tickets and he paid about $230 more, $980, still a good deal. But I paid $751 and estimate that's about half the normal price. We both feel we did well!
Margaret, I hope you will still get your tickets to Greece for a good price.

I just couldn't get organized yesterday so will have to wait on the next sale! Congrats on the great fare.

Update! Fare sale continues today 6/29 and I am seeing some great deals for March 2017

Madrid $588
Paris $637
London $673

I am debating between FRA to tour Prague (no good deal direct) or Madrid for Spain.

Carol,
This is amazing, it is definitely time to plan a trip! Let us know what you decide upon.

Margaret,
Hope you are staying on the airfares, perhaps a deal will still be available for your Greece trip next year!

I went with Madrid! My other open was Frankfurt and then head to Prague, but after checking the March temp in Prague I decided Spain was better for a girl from Hotlanta :)
Now I just have to figure out what to do while I am there... either Madrid and Barcelona or head south...

Thanks for the heads up!

I was doing a little daydreaming and checked airfare out of Vancouver (not the closest airport, but I have seen some great deals) to Europe in February 2017. I was shocked at how many places had deals in the $500-600 range! The prices are higher today. I am still wishing I could have made a trip work out. Sigh...
