Take that Alaska!
Alaska hasn't finished announcing their new nonstop routes from Seattle to Europe yet - more are coming.
I'm predicting: Athens, Lisbon, and either Barcelona or Madrid.
Both Alaska and Delta are also finishing up swanky new lounges in SEA, too. Good times!
I wonder if they will be seasonal or year round.
Gad, another Barcelona nonstop, to two? Why do people go to Barcelona anyway, so many crowds — and only bupkis.
I’ve heard the rumors. Would love to see these options come to SeaTac!
This just makes my night!!!! Two of my favorite cities!!!!!!
Just read about this! Yay! Hopefully this will give some good price competition. For so long SEA has only had 5 non-stop flights (DUB, KEF, LHR, CDG, FRA) out of SEA to Europe. These Alaska and Delta flights will make traveling easier for Pacific Northwesterners to Europe.
According to the article in this morning's Seattle Times, the flights will be seasonal (from May-Oct). In addition, the Rome flights will be 4 times a week and the Barcelona flights will be 3 times a week. The specific days of the week for the flights have yet to be announced, however.
