Help! Today is day 92 and I'm trying to buy rail tickets. It won't take my telephone number. I tried 1* before my area code and number. The second problem is that it says that I can't order for third parties. My husband and three children are traveling togetherthere are 5 of us! Can I order each ticket separately but pay them all with one credit card?
"The second problem is that it says that I can't order for third parties. My husband and three children are traveling together, there are 5 of us!". You are not ordering for a third party. You are ordering one ticket for yourself (and 4 others). Your name must be on the ticket and on the credit card you use to book the ticket, and you must show that credit card to the conductor. The third party rule is there to prevent travel agencies from buying up all of the tickets at the low price when they come out and selling them for a profit. As for the phone number, does 001 work?
SSSSUUUUUCCCCEEEEESSSSS! Thank you!!! The 001 worked!
It's likely that the "third party" issue is due to not having a Bahn card, as when I signed up for one (free), it specifically said that one of the benefits was being able to buy tickets for a third party.
"It's likely that the "third party" issue is due to not having a Bahn card, as when I signed up for one (free), " Huh? As far as I know, Bahn Cards are not free... or at least they better not be, as I payed €220 for mine.
