A new airline recently began flying from Dulles to Orly, called Open Skies. I was on the website yesterday and a round trip ticket is $850 until September 10th. Although we all love coach as back door travelers--this rate is pretty good!
That's a great price and I will take Business/1st class any day of the week over coach :)
Looks like there are tickets available in May/June for those who waited a bit too long to book.
I believe that is $850 each way, not RT.
From New York, there are some flights at $750 (each wasy). But for June, at least, there are very few seats left at that price.
I called them and the rate is round trip.
Well, that is interesting, because on the website it clearly indicates, under "special offers" that the $750 price for a "biz seat" from NYC to Paris is "*o/w based on a r/t purchase, taxes & fees extra. Restrictions apply".
And if you go to book a flight, it shows the price for each leg separately, $750 from NYC to Paris (if you pick the right date), and $750 for the return.
I have priced them out.... and unless Sue found some great sale it's generally $800 to $900 each way. However, that's still not a bad price. They have "business class" and "lie flat". Lie Flat is of course more.
They are owned by British Airlines and were up for sale, but I haven't followed thier status in a while.
