DC Metro senior fare

Is it possible to fly into DCA (the only airport named after TWO presidents) and immediately ride the metro taking advantage of the senior fare?

This link will take you directly to registering to get your Senior SmarTrip card for the DC Metro. You can order on line and have it when you arrive or pick it up at 1 of their 3 locations. Referenced in this link. We will be in DC in May and already have our cards.

Unfortunately leaving in 2 days so online delivery too late. Also I was in a Montgomery County library in November and could have picked one up free then but didn’t know. Will be next to a library Saturday so can get one then I think.

Thanks for the speedy replies.

To me and many others, DCA will always be known as DC National. Sorta like referring to the Florida Turnpike, never the Ronald Reagan Turnpike.

Maybe it’s my imagination but I think I hear the airport referred to more often now as just DCA.

Airline staff use different names, on Southwest it’s unfailing called “Reagan Airport.” With Delta or American it’s a mixed bag of all or part of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, yes sometimes I hear all 12 syllables.

Took 20 seconds to get the free senior card in person, now just need a way to transfer the balance from my old (lost) card. It’s all in my SmarTrip account but no obvious way.

Adding: took 35 minutes on the phone but the woman was finally able to transfer the old balance to the senior card. Then had to tap the card at a station to load the pending funds onto the card, but now all set, for the next trip anyway.
