Hello all. Looking for information on a day trip up the river from Frankfurt to Koln?
Also, where is the best river cruise to see the Lorely?

The Rhein flows DOWN from Frankfurt to Köln.
Going on the Rhein by boats is S-l-o-o-w. There is a K-D boat that leaves Mainz (none leave from Frankfurt) at 8:45 AM and gets to Köln at 8:00 PM.
To see the Loreley, take the train to Bacharach and go from there by boat to St. Goar. That trip goes by the Loreley and Pfalzgrafenstein, the orange/white toll castle in mid river. Spend the rest of your time exploring Bacharach and Rheinfels castle in St. Goar.

Is there a map or website that has the boat routes on it? I saw the more cruise ship boat sites and that is not what we want.

You can get the K-D timetable for the Rhine and Mosel here: http://k-d.com/englisch/index.html
As I recall as long as you have a ticket from one place to another you can get off at intermediate stops to sightsee and then catch the next boat.
