I would like to arrange a day trip to Hvar. I would like to leave Split early on a Friday morning in July. I would spend the day/afternoon in Hvar. Then catch the evening ferry to Korchula. What is the easiest way to do this? Is there an early morning passenger ferry from Split to Hvar? I appreciate any advice you can give me. Thanks, Jeff

I think your best option is to take the 11:30 Jadrolinija catamaran to Hvar (arrives 12:30 at Hvar town) and the 18:15 Krilo catamaran from Hvar to Korcula (arrives 19:45 in Korcula town). On Jadrolinija website, look for Split district schedules. Website for Krilo schedules is www.krilo.hr. I know that Jadrolinija has a kiosk near the pier in Split, but don't recall whether Krilo also has one. The Krilo website tells where you can buy tickets. I'd suggest buying both of your tickets as soon as possible after arrival in Split, as the catamarans can sell out. Unless you take the 5:00 car ferry arriving in Stari Grad (Hvar) at 7:45, the next car ferry gets to Stari Grad (Hvar) at 11:30. By the time you take the bus to Hvar town, you might as well just enjoy a relaxing morning in Split and plan to arrive at 12:30 (about a half hour later).
