Credit Card Charged and No Rail Tickets

Hi Everyone,
I attempted to order point-to-point rail tickets from Railclick, an agent for SpainRail.

At the end of the order process, I was informed “Something went wrong with our system, and we couldn’t finalize your booking.” I didn’t receive my tickets, however, Railclick still managed to charge my credit card.

Follow-up calls and email to Railclick have gone unanswered. At this point, I just want my money back and I will work through the https://ricksteves.raileurope.com/ website to purchase the tickets.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and have a solution?

Have you called your Credit Card company? If not, do so. Just FYI I always use RENFE, it is a pain to use but it always works.

Avoid 3rd party ticket resellers like Railclick, Spainrail or Raileurope. Buy the tickets direct from Renfe.

Has the charge actually processed through at your credit card or does it still have a pending status.

Additional information - I checked the credit card charge and it's in "Pending" status.

I contacted the credit card company and they indicated that when the charge is formally processed for final payment they will assist me dispute the charge. However, the "Pending" status appears to be like a "never-never land" of credit.
